State educational institution «Berezino boarding scholl of general education for orphans and children, left without parental care»
In a beautiful place, at the bank of the Berezino river in Berezino town there's a Berezino boarding school for orphans.
The school was founded at the 5-th of December, 1962 y. Its first pupils were the kids from large families and children, whose parents were seriously ill and were unable to care for their children. During this period up to 400 pupils has been educated in the school.
In 1984 the school receives a new status as a "Boarding school of general education for orphans and children, left without parental care". It is still providing education for children from different regions of Minsk oblast.
Nowadays 155 children are educated and cared after in the school. 103 employees are working. Education is provided by 46 pedagogs. 10 of them has higher qualification, 14 has first qualification, 15 has second qualification and 7 has no qualification degree.
All prerequisites for sound work of the school are created: There's a good sports gym, library, medical rooms, playing rooms, well equipped classrooms of Belarusian language, German language, History, Service labour. Places for extra-curriculum activities are thoughtfully designed: ecological museum, computer class, crafts circles, assembly hall, reading and bodybuilding areas.
Each of the classrooms is equipped with visual aids and didactive sources. Modern means of education are installed at the computer class, joiner's and fitting shop are equipped with all necessary tools, the Service labour classroom is considered to be one of the best in school.
Comfortable living block consists of cosy living rooms, household and playing rooms. The visual design of the school is based on pedagogs' and pupils' creative approach.
The 2.5 hectares of schools campus include utility buildings, pig farm, laundry.
All of the staff's efforts are aimed to the forming and development of a free, harmonious personality, comprehensive and prepared for creative work. Big emphasis is made on the working esthetical and sport education of the pupils. The creative circles "Spring", "Skilful hands", "Hostess" etc., totalling 14. of them. The school celebrations offer exhibitions of children creative works and shows of the amateur theatricals.
A lot of attention is given to the children's health. Annually all the kids are passing medical check twice, go for invigoration to abroad trips and summer camps.
Our school has many friend in Belarus and abroad. Such as "Service 77" (Belarus), "Puer" (Italy), "Independent help to children", "Word of Life", "New Life". Thanks to their support in this straightened circumstances we are not only able to function properly, but also to reach new horizons in some areas.
